What a year it has been for HUBTEX Australia. In 2025, we proudly mark 30 years of providing Australia with world-class long-load and narrow aisle handling solutions.
This year, we took a trip to HUBTEX HQ in Germany, we celebrated 20 years of our spray painter Dean and 10 years of our CFO John, we attended so many exhibitions, delivered lots of equipment to our wonderful customers, sponsored the Wanderers Foundation for a third year and still had time to host our very own 30th anniversary celebrations!
From humble beginnings to becoming the nation’s most trusted name in specialist material handling, our journey has been defined by innovation, partnership, and an unwavering commitment to customer success.
A Vision That Started It All
Our story began in 1995, when Managing Director Bill Parry travelled to Germany in search of the world’s most advanced sideloader technology. That trip established a long-term partnership with HUBTEX Maschinenbau, and with that, the foundation of HUBTEX Australia.
From a small warehouse in Riverstone, a dedicated team built the business from the ground up. Early pioneers Bruce Peatman, Wayne Guillaumier, and Phil Deka brought expertise and passion that helped shape the company’s future, each still contributing to our success today.
Engineering Built for Australian Conditions
For over 30 years, HUBTEX Australia has delivered equipment known not just for precision, but for remarkable longevity. Many of our machines continue operating seamlessly after 15 years or more. A testament to the engineering behind them.
Key innovations that have defined our success include:
Multidirectional steering for effortless operation in tight aisles
AC electric drive technology for reliability and low maintenance
The FluX series, offering the versatility of a sideloader with counterbalance capability
Operation in aisles as narrow as 2.0 metres
Advanced narrow aisle assist technologies that boost safety and throughput
These engineering advancements have helped Australian warehouses, from timber yards to manufacturers, unlock significant improvements in space efficiency, safety, and operational capacity.
Service: The Heart of the HUBTEX Difference
While engineering strength defines the machines, service defines the brand.
From day one, HUBTEX Australia built its reputation on:
- Fast, reliable breakdown response
- Highly trained technicians
- Preventive maintenance programs
- Strong spare-parts availability
- On-site and remote customer support
Our “service-first” philosophy has forged decades-long partnerships. One story we love to tell is one year, our technician attended a critical breakdown on Christmas morning, resolving the issue and still making it home for lunch. That dedication is simply part of the HUBTEX culture.
Operator Training & Safety as Core Values
Hubtex equipment requires specialist knowledge, and we ensure our operators are fully supported.
Training programs include:
- On-site induction training
- Refresher courses for ongoing safety
- Guidance on best practice for handling long or complex loads
Many customers also adopt customised safety features such as AI pedestrian detection, blue-spot lighting, and advanced warning systems.
Maximising Warehouse Space: Free Layout Design Service
One of our most valuable contributions is helping customers double storage capacity without increasing their building footprint.
Our space optimisation team offers:
- Free on-site surveys
- Aisle-width and racking-height planning
- Capacity calculations
- Recommendations for fleet optimisation
For many timber businesses, this service has delivered huge storage gains while avoiding costly facility expansions.
